NB: Allergens

All our food is prepared by our school cook in a kitchen where gluten and other allergens are sometimes present. We substitute some food items which are known allergens, for example wheat floor for gluten free flour. If your son or daughter has a known allergy or your suspect a new one, please inform the your child's key person or contact the school office without delay.

Please consult the list of common allergens here: Allergen Information

Please note we are a nut free nursery and do not include nuts of any kind in our meals.

Nutrition

Salt levels are monitored in all ingredients (Unsalted butter used).

We provide non-homogenised Fresh Organic Milk in glass bottles.

We limit sugar intake and also the number of puddings and desserts served weekly, substituted with fresh, seasonal fruit and healthy alternatives.

We rely upon parents to inform us of children’s known allergies and food intolerances. Allergy discovery is an ongoing process, so please keep us informed of any reactions you may notice at home.

We are experienced in caring for children with special dietary requirements due to allergies, religious grounds and vegetarians. Parents should provide Formula milk and allergy alternatives where appropriate.

Help and advise concerning Nutrition

"The nursery has a resident chef who takes pride in producing healthy and varied meals that meet children's nutritional needs.

Food is sourced locally where possible. There are strong systems to ensure children's allergies and other dietary needs are known and met. This helps to ensure children eat safely".
